I started building guitars for very specific reasons and long ago met those objectives. What began as an effort to provide the legacy guitars for my sons has evolved beyond that original intent and has taken on a life of its own. I am pursuing the ultimate guitar now out of a passion for the craft, a respect for the tradition and a need to create. It wasn’t until I built my first guitar that I realized how sweet a custom-voiced guitar could sound. Since that time, I have been driven to produce light and strong guitars that allow for every nuance of tone to be released…something that can only be achieved by continuously learning to coax the right voices from the woods we choose. That journey is never-ending.

Before offering my guitars for sale I invested in a 7 year Research & Development period where I worked to hone my skills and shape a unique tone. During that time, I experimented with various tonewoods, bracing patterns, glues and materials as well as engineering and building techniques. From using Hot Hide Glue to Carbon Fiber Composites, I have combined the best of the Old World products along with the properties of 21^st century engineering materials and techniques. It is my intention to apply the scientific discipline and attention to details that have become ingrained in my work ethic in trying to create instruments that will not only produce a musician’s tone and playability but will also withstand the rigorous structural challenges of the modern guitar.
